Crunchy Homemade Chocolate Granola

Equipment

  • Baking sheets with a rim
  • Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 8 cups Rolled oats
  • 4 cups Rice crispy
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking soda
  • ½ cup Flax seed ground
  • 2 Tbsps Chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • Chopped nuts
  • Chunks of chocolate *add after granola has cooled

Melt together:

  • ½ cup Butter
  • cup Oil
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • ¾ cup Water
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla

Instructions

  • Combine all dry ingredients in a big bowl.
  • Melt all wet ingredients in a saucepan then pour over dry ingredients.
  • Stir until everything looks wet.
  • Spread out on 2 ungreased rimmed baking sheets.
  • Bake at 300° for 30 minutes, then take out and stir once, then back for another 15-20 minutes or just until golden brown.
  • After granola has cooled, add chunks of chocolate and any other add ins you'd liked!
