The toppings are fully customizable so everyone can build their own burger-style fries!

Sheet-pan Burger Fries are perfect for those busy summer nights that often lend themselves to staying outside until the sun has set and bedtime is upon us. Without a lot of thought, this will be a dinner your family will love! It’s everything you enjoy about a burger which is full of flavor with diced sweet onions, chopped pickles and crisp lettuce all drizzled with burger sauce. My family loves this one and I love that I can easily get some veggies into my kids bellies.

Ingredients

Ground Beef

Ketchup, mustard and mayo

Worcestershire sauce

Sweet potatoes and white potaotes

Cheddar cheese

Lettuce

Pickles

Onion

Seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper

How to make Sheet-pan Burger Fries

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Thinly slice potatoes. Spread them out over a greased baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle of salt.

Place in oven and bake until potatoes are tender (20-30 minutes).

While the potatoes are baking, brown ground beef. When beef is about halfway cooked, add ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper, and then finish cooking.

Shred cheese, chop lettuce, pickles, onions and any other toppings you might like.

Once the potatoes are tender, top with ground beef and cheese and place back into the oven for 2 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cool slightly before topping with crisp lettuce, diced onions, pickles and burger sauce.

Burger sauce: 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup ketchup and 4 T mustard.

Why you will love Sheet-pan Burger Fries

You will love making a summer-inspired burger sheet pan dinner because it combines the relaxed, grilled flavor of summertime burgers with the convenience of an easy ALMOST one-pan meal.

Easy cleanup — everything cooks on one sheet pan instead of using multiple pots or an outdoor grill.

Summer flavors indoors — you still get juicy burger flavor, roasted vegetables, caramelized onions, and crispy potatoes even without a cookout.

Fresh seasonal ingredients — tomatoes, corn, pickles, herbs, and fresh sauces make it taste bright and summery.

Comforting but lighter — compared to a heavy fast-food burger meal, sheet pan versions can include roasted vegetables and fresher toppings.

Perfect for sharing — sheet pan dinners naturally feel casual, family-style, and social.

Customizable — everyone can add their favorite burger toppings after baking.

Balanced textures and flavors — juicy beef, melted cheese, and cool fresh toppings create the same satisfaction as burgers.

What type of potatoes work best for sheet pan burger fries?

You can use sweet or white potatoes for this recipe!

Can I use frozen fries instead of sliced potatoes for this recipe?

Certainly! This would save you time.

Can this be made ahead of time?

Yes! But it would be best to wait to melt the cheese until you are heating it up in the oven to be served.

How to store and reheat it

This dish is best served fresh, but is also delicious for leftovers the next day. Simply store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
